575,146. Control of fuel-injection pumps. LEYLAND MOTORS, Ltd., and WARING, G. J. Feb. 25, 1944, No. 3568. [Class 102 (i)] In a governor for an internal-combustion engine and controlling the fuel-injection pump output at low speeds, a diaphragm 1 in a chamber 4 is actuated by suction in the induction pipe 6 above the throttle,7 until excessive movement of the diaphragm opens a spring closed valve 10 admitting air into the chamber 4 to avoid reducing the fuel supply beyond that needed for the maintenance of idling speed.
