Abstract

[Class 78 (i)] [Also in Group II] In a mill as in Specification 441,650; [Group II], in which material is pulverized between stator and rotor members, the material is fed by a sealing device comprising a multibladed rotor having flexible blades disposed within a cylindrically-walled chamber mounted on the casing of the mill. The blades 7, which may be made of rubber or of metal bedded in rubber, are mounted in sockets 9 in a rotor 2 on a shaft 10 in a chamber which is mounted on the mill casing 1 and is provided with an inlet 4 and an outlet 5 having a sloping wall 6.
