Abstract

760,864. Rotary pumps. SUN ENGINEERING (RICHMOND), Ltd. Aug. 4, 1955 [Aug. 4, 1954], No. 22594/54. Class 110 (2). A rotary pump for producing foam comprises a pair of geared rotors b having fixed radial vanes d and co-operating grooves e, an inlet housing h, and an outlet having a pair of discharge conduits y. The inlet housing h has a water inlet j, a pair of foam producing compound inlet pipes on each side, and a pair of linked rotary disc valves i on each side for admitting air. The pump may be connected to a centrifugal pump. The inlet manifold may have a metal gauze for pre-mixing.
