[Class 59] In a pulverizing machine in which a rotor carries a series of blades disposed round its periphery to cooperate with a complementary series of stator blades, as in Specification 441,650, the stator blades are displaceable radially and are held by springs against adjustable stops. In the form shown, the blade 5 is mounted in radial recesses in stator segments 2 by means of adjustable bolts 6 arranged at the ends of the blade and screwed into the stator frame member 9, compression springs 8 being disposed between the blade 5 and frame 9. Elastic packing 10 may also be provided. The springs may be mounted in sockets in the blades instead of the frame as shown, or the bolts may be screwed into the blades, their heads engaging in sockets in the frame and their opposite ends squared.
