[Class 55 (i)] A gas producer of d own-draught type has a number of hollow members 3, 9, 10 with their inner ends at the hottest part of the fire zone and below the air tuyere or tuyeres 12. Gas generated passes through each member in turn, a duct 5 connecting members 3, 9 and an outlet duct 11 opening into member 10 to which the gas passes from a chamber 7 surrounding the fire. Specifications 565,026 and 570,314 are referred to.
