[Class 119] An ejector for automatic guns of the masslocked type comprises a pin 13 sliding in an inclined direction in a hole in the breech block 12 and adapted to engage during recoil of the block with an abutment surface 15 on a fixed breech block guide 11. The surface 15 imparts forward movement to the pin to eject the cartridge case and a horizontal rearward extension of the surface prevents the pin returning during the remainder of the rearward movement of the breech block. The pin is retained by a shoulder 14 and stop 17.
