Abstract

572,978. Alloys. ENFIELD ROLLING MILLS, Ltd., and SYKES, J. April 26, 1944, No. 7836. [Class 82 (i)] Copper base alloys, which, have high strength and electrical conductivity and are suitable for use in, the manufacture of contact welding electrodes for welding aluminium and aluminium alloys, consist of tellurium 0.05-1.0 per cent, nickel 0.01-0.1 per cent, oxygen up to 0.1 per cent, the balance being copper. The copper may be partly replaced by up to 0.05 per cent of silver.
