[Class 83 (iv)] A fluid-cooled spot welding electrode tip 14 has a removable nose 23 comprising a working surface and a tapered contact surface 21 with a grooved spigot 25 engaged by a set-screw 28 to retain the nose 23. The contact surfaces J of nose 23 and tip 14 may be silver plated.
