570,830. Securing joists. GROVES, A. H. April 12, 1944, No. 6724. [Class 20 (iv)] A wooden joist D is screwed in position by means of a U - shaped clip of spring steel, the sides A of the clip serving, by virtue of its construction to bear resiliently against the sides of the joist, and being formed with inwardly and downwardly directed pointed projections B which press into the joist. The clip is secured by screws C to a wooden block E or the like previously built into the foundation, and may have its sides converging towards one another, the ends of the sides being rolled outwardly at F.
