Abstract
563,235. Snap-action switches. SHARP, W. Feb. 27, 1943, No. 3263. [Class 38 (v)] A cam-actuated operating arm 2 with roller 3, is pivoted on a pin 5 upon which also turns a contact arm 4, the end of which bears a pivoted and sliding block 6 from which a rod 7 extends through a trunnion 9 bearing in the end of operating arm 2, a spring 8 being interposed. From the position shown, with contacts 12, 13 engaged, on lifting arm 2 to " break," the contact 12 first is given a sliding and tilting movement, which will break any weld, before the dead-centre links snap over to open the contacts.
