Abstract

563,107. Thermal switches. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. April 20, 1943, No. 6308. Convention date, April 30, 1942. [Class 38 (v)] A bellows 10 actuating a switch, presses on one side of an operating member 12, against the adjustable pressure from a spring 11. The member 12 has a limited movement pivoting in lowest position about one side in an aperture in a guide frame 19 opposite to an operating arm 13 which bears on a moving contact arm 14. A magnet 15 provides a snap action. A cam surface 35 on the spring - adjusting knob 31 is adapted, in extreme anti-clock position, to press down a rod 36 bearing on the contact arm to obtain defrosting.
