Abstract
596,721. Tumbler switches. TUCKER, J. B. Aug. 1, 1945, No. 19724. [Class 38(v)] In a tumbler switch for use on A.C., the link c is pivoted between upstanding lugs e<2> on the lower, e, of a pair of spring blade contacts e, d, so that as the link is rocked by the tumbler a, a cam face c<1> thereon forces the upper blade d into contact with the lower blade e, whereupon the coiled spring f bearing on the blade e moves the entire mechanism into its extreme position. Alternatively, Fig. 3, (not shown) lugs e<2> may be independent of the blade e and mounted on the coil spring. The Specification also states that the cam face c<1> may be made to operate through a slot in the blade e to disengage a blade d mounted below, and refers to Specification 580,946.
