[Class 80 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] A Bowden cable 15 is lubricated by forcing oil through the helical sheath 16, the oil nipple 19 being mounted in a sleeve 10 secured by threaded sleeves 14 to the cable. The outer waterproof sheath 17 is slit or cut away, and the sleeves 14 compress, rubber washers 18 around this sheath. In a modification, the sleeve 10 is enlarged to clear the cable fittings and carries a slit bush, the threaded sleeves and the washers being also slit to facilitate assembly in situ.
