555,009. Stripping cables. AKTIEBOLAGET AVAROR. Jan. 27, 1942, No. 1157. Convention date, Feb. 5, 1941. [Class 36] A tool for stripping cables comprises a cylindrical guide sleeve 1 adapted to receive the cable and provided with lugs 2 in which is pivoted a hand lever 4 supporting a cutter 5 adapted to enter an opening 6 in the sleeve 1, an adjustable screw 7 limiting the entry ; the cutter is adjustable for making circumferential or longitudinal cuts and is held in adjusted position by engagement of non-circular parts 8 under the influence of a helical spring. The tool may be adapted for use with smaller cables by insertion of inner sleeves 1a, 1b, which may be locked to the sleeve 1 by pin engaging lugs 11, or by means such as a bayonet joint.
