Abstract

562,980. Air filters. AIR-MAZE (GREAT BRITAIN), Ltd., and LOCKER, J. R. Dec. 15, 1942, No. 17779. [Class 8 (ii)] A flat panel filter screen 8, which may be constructed as desscribed in Specification 544,296, is disposed above an oil well and between parallel baffles 4, 12 ; baffle 12 cooperates with the oil bath to allow the air to lift the oil; baffle 4 controls the air outlet. The shelf 6 on which the filter panel. rests is turned up in a flange 10 to prevent splashing on the screen. A curved plate 16 may provide a cavity receiving surplus oil on tilting, and the plate reduces the cross-section of air flow and facilitates the pick-up of oil.
