Abstract
559,316. Cathode-ray tubes. CINEMA-TELEVISION, Ltd. (Szegho, C. S.). Sept. 14, 1942, No. 12926. Drawings to Specification. [Class 39 (i)] In a cathode ray tube in which an optical image is projected or viewed from the side of a fluorescent screen opposite to that scanned by the cathode ray beam, a thin layer of conducting material forms a support for the screen and is disposed between the latter and the source of the electron beam. The conducting layer may consist of aluminium sheet not exceeding 5 microns in thickness. If the projection system for the optical image involves a concave spherical mirror the screen and support may be bent to show a convex surface towards such mirror.
