478,238. Discharge apparatus. ZEITLINE, V., ZEITLINE, A., and KLIATCHKO, V. June 13, 1936, No. 33110/37. Convention date, June 13, 1935. Divided application. [Class 39 (i)] A tube comprises a light sensitive screen, a fluorescent or secondary-emitting screen, and between them an electron mirror comprising an accelerating electrode and, behind it, a repulsion electrode whereby the electron image is reflected onto the second screen. As shown, the electron image from a screen P is accelerated by an anode A having a grid portion G<1> and is reflected between a grid G<2> and an electrode M so that it falls on a second screen F. The mirror transparency may be varied by varying the voltage on the electrode M. This voltage may be, for example, alternating. Specification 475,547 is referred to.
