Abstract

555,004. Automatic regulation. HARMER, H. M. Dec. 22, 1941, No. 16500. [Class 38 (iv)] In order that the voltage applied to a regulating arrangement according to any of Specifications 493,362, 515,207, 521,314, 524,565 or 554,467 may increase with load and vice versa a magnetically biased inductance is included in series with the regulating circuit T1, T2, C and arranged so that the bias increases with the load. As shown in Fig. 3 the load current passes through a rectifier bridge a, a<SP>1</SP> and two inductances L1, L2 each of which takes half of the A.C. wave and is thereby biased so that its inductance falls with increase of load. A current auto-transformer w may be included to increase the biasing effect.
