Abstract
473,889. Control systems. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. April 17, 1936, No. 11085. Convention date, April 17, 1935. Addition to 448,833. [Class 38 (iv)] [Also in Group XL] Switching control.-Relates to an arrangement for controlling a pair of oppositely-connected valves as described in the parent Specification in which, in order to ensure satisfactory operation with an inductive load, a phaseshifting circuit is connected between the control condenser and the source of charging-current. The condenser 6 is connected through a rectifier 8 across the resistance 13 which forms one element of a phase-shifting circuit 10, 13. The phase-shifting circuit may be connected either directly to the primary of the load transformer 5 or through an auxiliary transformer 12.
