Abstract
551,256. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control systems. DODSON, E. Oct. 1, 1941, No. 12687. [Class 135] In a fluid pressure operated remote control system, the pipe line from the sender to the receiver includes a relay valve acted on oppositely by the pressures in the portion of the line between the sender and the valve, and the portion between the valve and the receiver, and controlling connections of the latter portion with pressure and exhaust. The valve may comprise a piston 30, Fig. 2, having a groove 36 permanently communicating with the line portion leading to the receiver, and when the pressures in the line portions are equal it closes the pressure and exhaust pipes 22, 35. In another form, a diaphragm 41, Fig. 3, exposed on its opposite faces to the pressures in the line portions can through a yoke 46 operate non-return pressure and exhaust valves, and cut-off valves 120, such as are described in Specification 482,935 are provided.
