548,917. Potato-planting machines. PONTING, G. G. S. May 12,1941. No. 6117. [Class 6 (i)] Potatoes from one or more bins 1 are placed in the peripheral pockets 5 of a rotary receptacle and discharged by way of the shoot 28 into a furrow opened by a share. The receptacle is driven from the ground wheel 16 through spur or chain gearing, and delivers the potatoes against a pivoted board 26 projecting into the shoot. One gear wheel is adjustable for replacement to alter the driving ratio.
