547,596. Tampons. HILL, C. R. July 16, 1940, No. 11776. Convention date, July 17, 1939. [Class 81 (ii)] A tampon comprises a pad formed by rolling in compresse-d form a number of strips 2 of creped absorbent tissue paper the pad being enclosed in a porous fabric bag 11 and having sufficient rigidity for insertion purposes. Additional strips 10 may be arranged at one end of the roll so as to make the completed tampon thicker at one end. Specification 373,848 is referred to.
