Napkins and pilches.-Strip material for use as napkins comprises a layer 6 of absorbent material, a layer 5 of smaller width laid freely on the first layer, and outer layers of gauze 9 and of fluidrepellant paper 10, which are lapped at the edges and stitched to the layer 6. The layers 5 and 6 may each consist of a number of laminae of readily disintegrable absorbent paper, these in the layer 5 being folded. The gauze 9 may be filmated on the inside with absorbent cotton in a free fibrous state without positive connection. Specification 290,854, [Class 81 (ii), Medical &c. appliances], is referred to.
