Abstract

598,017. Infants' napkins. CROFT, H. S. Aug. 28, 1945, No. 22158. Convention date, May 29. [Class 141] An infant's napkin consists of a foundation piece A, Fig. 1, of textile fabric, e.g., gauze, and an absorbent pad M of the shape shown. The triangular sections B, H, of the foundation piece are folded over the pad, their edges B<1>, H<1> overlapping each other. The triangular section K is folded over to complete the isosceles, triangular-shaped envelope which encloses the pad, the corner L being preferably turned up. The corner K<1> of the flap K is inturned,- Fig. 2, and transverse lines, of stitching N', N<11> or adhesive prevent displacement of the pad, which is removable since the edges B<1>, H' are left free. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91, includes a construction in which the pad is permanently secured in position by a line of stitching extending from the apex to the mid point of the base of the envelope. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
