Abstract

620,555. Napkins. LITTLEJOHN, D. H. Jan. 22, 1947, No. 2043. [Class 141] A napkin of the type comprising front and back flaps joined together by a shaped crotch piece, made of absorbent material and having means for supporting it.from the waist, is provided with an additional narrower outer layer of material extending the whole length of the napkin and having free side edges. As shown, loops D are provided at the upper edges of the back A and front B so that the napkin may be secured by straps passing over the shoulders, and tapes F, adapted to be tied round the legs, are provided at each side of the crotch portion C. The narrower outer layer is formed of pieces of towelling A<SP>1</SP>, B<SP>1</SP> and the raw edges and seams are bound with tape or thin material G.
