[Class 81(ii)] A sanitary napkin has a wrapper 3 of non-woven material which is reinforced by one or two strips of material 5 extending adjacent to the edge of the absorbent pad 1 and as far as at least one end of the wrapper. The strips 5 may be of strong paper or synthetic plastic sheeting and preferably extend one along each edge of the pad, both strips being the same length as the wrapper so that, when the end is suitably folded to be secured to a fastening attachment, the said attachment grips or pierces the strips. Specifications 553,657 and 634,685 are referred to.
