A support for a catamenial pad comprises a rectangular piece of net or sheet material having ends 1, which are extensible and contractible and are secured to a waist band 2, and a central portion 3, which is less extensible and has inwardly folded side edges which are tied together to form a pocket. The inwardly folded side edges of the central portion may be tied together by clips a. Waterproof paper and absorbent cotton is placed in the pocket and an absorbent pad 5 is placed over the clips.
