1,094,143. Support for catamenial pad. T. SAIJO. April 13, 1965, No. 15757/65. Heading A5R. A garment for supporting a catamenial pad comprises a substantially rectangular band of stretchable material 1, in Fig. 1, with the edge portions 2 at the centre of the band being folded inwardly and stitched together at 3 to form a sleeve for retaining the pad, there being a strip of elastic absorbent material 5 fastened along each folded edge, and a piece of non- permeable material located but not fixed within the sleeve; to each end of the band is fastened a portion 6 of an elastic waist belt, one portion having at least two fastening members 7 which attach to the ends of the other portion to bring the band into the assembled form of a garment, in Fig. 3. The fastening device may be an open ended slot 8 at each end of the one portion which engages with corresponding plural ribs 9 on the ends of the other portion.
