Abstract

547,431. Wick burners. ANGLO - SAXON PETROLEUM CO., Ltd., and RICHARDSON, A. W. Feb. 24, 1941, No. 2515. [Class 75 (i)] The flame of an oil lamp is localized at the upper end of a preferably woven glass fibre wick 4 by directing all the combustion air over the exposed Surface of the wick which projects a considerable distance above the wick guide 2 by means of a deflector 8 arranged below the top of the wick. The deflector 8 may consist of one or more flat or domed plates and rest on a perforated sleeve 5 carrying a lamp glass 10.
