Abstract

545,730. Dynamo-electric repeater instruments. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES), Ltd., S., MOSS, E. B., and KLEPP, E. C. Nov. 4, 1940, No. 16081. Addition to 537,833, [Group XXXVIII] Drawings to Specification. [Class 35] [Also in Group XXXVIII] In the stator core of the repeater instrument described in the parent Specification, the externally open slots for the windings instead of being closed by a cylinder of magnetic material they are closed by a winding of iron wire or strip which effects more intimate contact with the core. The core may be built up of layers of stampings made from silicon-iron alloys alternating with stampings of nickel-iron alloy.
