Abstract

544,081. Cooking ovens. MUSGRAVE, J L, LEA, N. J., and CRITTALL & CO., Ltd., R. Nov. 6, 1940, No. 16151. [Class 126] The front and back plates A, B of a cooking oven are provided with registering grooves to receive edges of the top, bottom and sides of the oven D and the inner and outer walls F. E of the oven casing, the plates and walls being gripped together by tie bolts. An opening is provided at h<SP>1</SP> in a bottom plate also secured in grooves in the plates A, B for the admission of heating gases which pass up the sides and over the top of the oven D to an outlet flue J at the top which if desired may be surrounded by a hot closet. The door K is hinged horizontally in slots k' in brackets and is lifted to disengage a horizontal locking rod from grooves in brackets k<SP>5</SP> after which it may be turned into a horizontal position and supported by a pivoted strut k<SP>6</SP>.
