Abstract
375,096. Cooking ranges. PASCALL, F., 156, Charing Cross Road, London. - July 15, 1931, No. 20271. [Class 126.] Relates to combination ranges having an oven above a fireplace, which can be open or closed at will, and comprises modifications in the outer casing. As shown each side wall of the casing is made in two superposed sections d<1>, h<1>, which are spaced apart to receive the bottom plate k of the oven flue b<2>, the section being flanged at their rear edges and carrying hooks h<4>, d<5>, on which are hung the back wall plates. The sections are also grooved for the reception of the sliding hob plates a<40>, and the top damper plate l. The front framing d<8> and the side sections are secured together by screws. Joints.-The upper and lower sections of the side walls may be connected by the joint shown in Fig. 5. The lower section is formed with a ledge m<1> on its inner face and a wedge member m<3>, which takes into a correspondingly-shaped recess n<1> in the upper section. Behind the wedge m<3> is a tapered point m<4>, which fits a recess n<2> formed by a thickening on the outer face of the upper section. Specification 346,070, [Group XXIII], is referred to.
