Abstract

268,083. Theobalds, R. O. P. Jan. 28, 1926. Blowers.-In a folding blower for domestic fireplaces, of the kind built up of hinged sections arranged either in one piece or in two halves a, b as shown, the first sections a<1>, b<1> are arranged to form the backs of casings to house the blower when collapsed, each casing being completed by a side wall f to which is hinged a front cover g having an aperture h to fit over the operating- handle e of the blower. The blower, or each half thereof, may either be secured to the side of the fireplace or, as shown, be mounted on feet i adapted to stand on the hearth, means for adjusting the height of the blower on the feet being provided if desired. A modification is described in which the blower is divided horizontally into two or more portions, the front cover or covers g being similarly divided to allow one or more of the portions to be drawn over the front of the fire to vary the draught.
