540,228. Electrodeposition of manganese CONSOLIDATED MINING & SMELTING CO. OF CANADA, Ltd. April 8, 1940, No. 6307. Convention date, July 27, 1939. [Class 41 ] In the electrodeposition of metallic manganese the electrolyte contains an agent which prevents or retards the production of oxidizing condition consisting of a sulphur compound selected from hydrogen sulphide, xanthates, thiosulphates, sulphamic acid, carbon bisulphide, di- or tetrathionates of sodium, potassium or manganese or the product obtained by treating caustic soda with hydrogen sulphide.
