Abstract
539,906. Clips for supporting wall linings. INKLEY, B. June 14, 1940, No. 10351. [Class 20 (iv)] A spring clip for securing sheets 7 of material such as insulating boarding to tubular supports 4 comprises a gripping member 1 of spring metal the free ends 2 of which are bent back, and a fastening member consisting of a slotted strip 5 of spring metal with tongues which engage and hold together the members by wedging action. The free edges of the gripping and fastening members are bent outwardly to form flanges 3 and 6 between which are secured the insulating boarding 7. With the boards in position, the fastening members are driven home to wedge on the gripping members and hold them and the boards in position.
