536,978. Coating composition. DENTON, F. G. Nov. 28, 1939, No. 31004. [Classes 22 and 70] A non-corrosive covering composition for metal surfaces comprises a waterproof aggregate such as rubber in fibre or comminuted form, or an aggregate rendered waterproof such as rubber- or bitumen-coated animal or vegetable fibre, cork dust or nut dust or rubber-covered fabric in comminuted form along with cement containing up to 25 per cent. of silica, rubber latex, and a 10-15 per cent. aqueous solution of a binder. The binder which may also act as a stabilizer consists of casein and glue, and an alkali metal salt or a mixture of casein, sodium fluoride, caustic soda and lime hydrate. The composition is used as an anti-magnetic insulation for ships &c. Specification 480,881 is referred to.
