Abstract

Latex is stabilized by mixing therewith the product of the reaction of an acid, e.g. sulphuric, hydrochloric or boric acid, and a solution of a silicate, e.g. sodium silicate, which product contains silica gel and is in a fluid condition; the pH value of the mixture should not be less than 7. Specification 402,422 is referred to.
