534,048. Alloys. MALLORY METALLURGICAL PRODUCTS, Ltd. (Mallory & Co., Inc., P.R.). Dec. 20, 1939, No. 32557. [Class 82 (i)] A refractory alloy consists of 0.1-35 per cent. of uranium and the remainder tungsten with or without molybdenum or rhenium or both, and with or without up to 2.5 per cent. of carbon, boron, or silicon, or small amounts of iron, cobalt, nickel, tantalum, niobium, and manganese. The alloys may be made by pressing mixtures of the powders, and may be used for electric contacts, or as the refractory base of alloys including one or more of the metals copper, silver, gold, platinum, and palladium.
