Abstract

533,624. Valves. CAZENAVE, F. Nov. 3; 1939, No. 29289. [Class 135] A manually-operated draw-off valve having a conical valve member 6 co-operating with a sharp-edged seat 5 has a stem 6 extending from the lower face of the valve member formed integrally with a disc 13 guided for endwise movement in a tubular part of the casing. The disc has one or more grooves co-operating with guide ribs 18 and is acted upon by a spring 15 bearing against a detachable cap 16. The valve member is rotatably connected to an actuating spindle 7 having a screw-thread 9 working in a nut member screwed into the main casing and provided with a packing 11 for the spindle.
