Abstract

533,409. Cathode-ray tubes. MULLARD RADIO VALVE CO., Ltd. Nov. 4, 1939, No. 29400. Convention date, Nov. 7, 1938. [Class 39 (i)] [Also in Group XXIH] The screen carrier, preferably inwardly-arched, is constituted by a glass member which is blown in a mould and is fused to the remainder of the tube in such a manner that its moulded surface is toward the interior of the tube. The tube may be made by blowing a bulb 6, Fig. 1, in a mould 4, removing the end part 7, and then fusing the end on to the bulb again, as shown in Fig. 2, with the moulded surface inwards.
