Abstract

477,539. Cathode-ray tubes. BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd., and GILBERT, A. H. July 2, 1936, No. 18337. [Class 39 (i)] A deflecting magnet for a cathode-ray tube consists of a circular ring of magnetic material carrying two windings which produce consequent poles. The windings 3 are preferably curved to fit the ring 2 and each subtends an angle of about 100‹ at the centre of the ring. The ring may be made of finely divided magnetic material in a matrix of insulating material. Specifications 463,972 and 476,947 are referred to.
