Abstract
527,461. Gas fire reflector stoves; radiants. TWIGG & CO., Ltd., C., and HOLLIS, T. R. April 13, 1939, No. 11156. [Class 126] In a portable gas fire reflector stove the radiant is a fireclay or like refractory hollow member formed with pips or projections, and detachably received and carried in supports mounted on a horizontal burner tube. The radiant may be carried in U-shaped recesses in end supports mounted on the burner and, if in sections, on intermediate U-shaped supports; it may be formed with feet adapted to rest on the burner tube ; and may be of inverted U-shape with the walls and top apertured, or in the form of spaced apertured walls independently supported on the burner or connected by their transverse webs or bars, or in the form of parallel rear and front bars which are connected by spaced arched members having inwardly extending pips or which carry upwardly and inwardly extending teeth or prongs. As shown the fire comprises a corrugated sheet metal reflector b, a fretted front extension e of the reflector, concave metal pressings a at the ends of the burner, and metal strips d secured to the reflector and end pressings a and extended to form supports d for the fire.
