[Class 126] In a gas fire a tubular radiant is arranged longitudinally of a trough-shaped reflector 14, which may be of parabolic section, the radiant having a central wall 4 which divides it into two lateral heating zones. The side walls 1 and front wall 2 of the radiant are of grid formation, and the wall 4 may consist of several bars joined together by cross-pieces. Burners may be arranged on opposite sides of the wall 4. The radiant rests on a flanged plate with feet 9 which are secured to the bottom plate 11 and burner tube 10, and is held at the top, where it tapers to a neck, by a clip which is adjustably secured to the back of the reflector, which is slotted. The stove shown comprises a front frame 12. According to the Provisional Specification, the radiant may be open at the top and fitted with a V- shaped cowl, and may be supported from the reflector or frame of the fire by a forked or U -shaped support which engages the constricted part of the cowl. More than one radiant may be used.
