Abstract

805,614. Gas heaters. RADIATION, Ltd. Aug. 29, 1957 [Sept. 10, 1956], No. 27575/56. Class 126 A gas fire adapted to be suspended in an overhead position has a tubular, rectangular, main part or frame having a lower horizontal member a carrying burner nipples b and an upper member c which has a central connection d to the end of a suspensory gas supply pipe e having gas control means f. A pair of sheet metal frames o depend from the tubular frame by means of end members i having lugs j which engage seatings g on the upper member c. Each frame o is of inverted boxlike form open at its under side and has its lower edges upwardly bent to support a sub-frame or drawer p which carries a radiant q. The combustion products flow into a tapering combustion space t between a refractory slab r and the radiant q and thence through a hole s in the slab to a discharge hood u extending through the frame o. The frames o and the tubular frame are enclosed in removable decorative cover pieces v, w of enamelled sheet material.
