525,039. Sulphur dyestuffs ; ennea-nitrodecacyclene. I.G. FARBENINDUSTRIE AKT.-GES. Feb. 13, 1939, No. 4653. Convention date, March 5, 1938. Addition to 468,416. [Class 2 (iii)] A dyestuff is prepared by subjecting enneanitrodecacyclene to sulphurization. In an example, the ennea-nitrodecacyclene is refluxed with an aqueous polysulphide solution. The dyestuff dyes cotton dark brown shades. Ennea-nitrodecacyclene is prepared by the action of nitric anhydride on hexanitrodecacyclene in dried solid condition or dispersed in nitrating acid.
