Abstract
524,699. Reflex lights. ADAMS, L. A. Feb. 3, 1939, No. 3648. [Class 3 (ii)] Bolts, studs, nuts and rivets have a reflector combined with one end for use for example as bolts for securing bumpers of motor vehicles rear mudguards of cycles &c. The reflector a, Fig. 1, may be secured to the head b of a bolt by a double flanged sleeve d. In a modification the reflector is secured by a screw f, Fig. 3, engages a lapper bit in the head of the bolt. In a further modification the bolt head may have an external thread and the reflector be secured by a flanged and screwed sleeve. As applied to a nut the nut may have a flange at one end over which a device similar to d, Fig. 1, is flanged. The nut and reflector may be separated by a disc. The bolt head may be recessed to receive the reflector which is then secured by adhesive &c. The threaded ends of the bolts may be slotted for engagement by a screw-driver to hold the bolts from rotating whilst the nuts are tightened.
