Abstract

1,236,526. Stud and socket fastenings. R. F. E. CAMUS. 26 Aug., 1969 [20 Sept., 1968], No. 42462/69. Heading E2B. [Also in Division F2] A clamp for securing members C, T together comprises a head 16 having an oblong cross-section, a screw threaded portion 11 and a nut 33. The larger dimension of the head equals the diameter of the body 10 of the clamp and the smaller dimension equals the diameter of a reduced portion 14. The member T is provided with an oblong hole slightly larger than the head 16 and the member C has a hole t. After passing the head through the aligned holes and rotating the head through 90 degrees by a handle extension 17, the nut 33 is tightened to engage the member C. (For Figure see next column)
