Abstract

417,895. Bolts. WOOLLARD, F. G., and ANSTEY, F., c/o Successors to Rudge- Whitworth, Ltd., Rudge Works, Coventry. Oct. 10, 1933, No. 27858. [Class 89 (i).] To prevent the unauthorized removal of a fitting, for example, a lamp from a cycle, the bolt c which passes through apertured lugs on the vehicle bracket a and the centrally disposed fitting d on the lamp e is grooved below its screwed end and a washer j is sprung into the groove. The removal of the nut alone does not permit the bolt to be withdrawn, but the groove is made long enough to allow the bolt sufficient axial play on the washer to allow the lamp being adjusted.
