471,474. Vehicle hand-grips. BRIGGS MANUFACTURING CO. March 25, 1937, No. 8821. Convention date, March 30, 1936. [Class 103 (iv)] [Also in Group XI] A lamp casing 20 and a hand grip 40 are removably mounted on a panel or pillar 14 within a vehicle by means of a bracket 10 so that the casing is free from the forces exerted on the hand grip. As shown, the bracket 10 is provided with a keyhole slot 11 for engaging a screw 15 and is secured together with the casing 20 by a screw 16. The stem 47 of the hand grip extends through an aperture in the casing and is screwed into a part 12 of the bracket 10. The tapered head 43 is connected by a ball-andsocket joint 45, 46 to the stem 47 and by a threaded stem 44 to a ferrule 42 in the gripping portion 41. The socket 46 may be formed as an adjustable nut on the stem 47.
