[Class 110 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] A sealed externally driven rotary absorption refrigerating machine comprises an absorber i and a liquor chamber q at relatively-low pressure and a generator d at higher pressure, the strong liquor being delivered from the chamber q to the generator by a multi-stage pump comprising scoop pipes r, u<1>, u<2>, u<3> held stationary by counterweights r<1> &c., and rotary radial delivery tubes s<1> s<2>, s<3>. The liquor passes by a final discharge pipe w to a heat exchanger g and thence to the generator by a pipe x<1>.
